It is a new way of investing in social enterprises with a social purpose that enables them to achieve a greater and sustainable social impact. VP is also seen as the new model of \u201cGrant making\u201d: creating and awarding a grant. The most significant difference with the traditional donation \u2013 charity where nothing is expected in return \u2013 is that with venture philanthropy compensation is expected in the form of a social and\/or financial return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Distinction from traditional philanthropy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Venture philanthropy distinguishes itself from traditional philanthropy by the combination of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A relationship of great involvement between the venture philanthropist and the social enterprise.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attention to organisational development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Custom-made financing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-financial support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to complementary networks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multi-year support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Impact management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Whealth Fund<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a foundation, we have taken the initiative for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whealthfund.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Whealth Fund<\/a>.
